Liturgy Leaders

As a Catholic school, St Catherine of Siena makes sure that each child can strengthen and deepen their relationship with God. Three of our Liturgy Leaders, in Y6, deliver prayer and liturgy each week, and every single session has a special message to tell.
Liturgy Leaders plan prayer and liturgy entirely on their own, meanin three create PowerPoints, write prayers and make fun activities for their peers to complete. As well as this, the Liturgy Leaders upskill their classmates, so that they can participate too.
The leaders also have the ability to help in Mass or any other religious ceremonies.

Vanessa: "I like being a Liturgy Leader because my faith is very important to me and I like working with my classmates each week."

Abigail: "I like being a Liturgy Leader because we get to teach our class about our faith."

Daniella: "We have the opportunity to learn new things about God and share them with other people."

Faith Council Confirmation Prayer—By Alexandrea

O God,

May we ask you to fill us with the Holy Spirit, enabling us to renew the face of the Earth. May all the people of the world use faithfulness and generosity as your Son, Our Lord, did. We hope that all of your people rejoice in happiness and joy. Please give us the same fire you gave your followers, the Apostles of Christ, on Pentecost so we may be truly wise in our faith. We all wish to become one of your true disciples and always think of others and how you feel. Give us the knowledge of your faith that we may learn from you and give us the gift of piety. If one will ever insult you, O lord, we shall use the gift of fortitude. May all the saint’s chosen today guide us through our lives as you did them. Soon we shall all be you true disciples.

Through Christ Our Lord, Amen

Catholic Values & Virtues Awards

Our focus this half term is about how we can grow to become ‘Faith-filled and Hopeful'

Matthew 25:21
“His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of
your lord.”

By being faith-filled and hopeful, our pupils will be able to articulate their love for God and instill faith in themselves and others.
