During today’s chapter, we hear two different stories: the ongoing adventures of Max, slowly making his way home and the story of Ma and Pa Hedgehog, who are worried sick about their missing son.
I’m getting into a bit of a muddle, writing about today’s chapter. For instance, I wrote:
Ma and Pa Hedgehog anxiously paced back and forth since they was too afraid to sleep. Max were still missing and they hadn’t heard from him all day!
It just doesn’t sound right! Can you help me? What’s the difference between ‘was’ and ‘were’?
Today’s lesson is all about auxiliary verbs!
Please click on the following link to access a video, which will support with today’s learning and then look out for a worksheet to complete on ClassDojo:
GEOGRAPHY.
So far, we have learnt all about continents and countries, the climate in Kenya, Kenyan animals and compass points.
Today, I would like you to explore some of the various landscapes in Kenya. There is a lot more to see than just the African Savannah, the vast grasslands where many of the animals live.
Where do the Kenyan people live? Do their cities and villages look like ours? Can they travel to the beach? Are there any mountains to climb?
By the end of today’s lesson, I hope that you will be able to tell me the name of the capital city of Kenya, along with the name of Kenya’s tallest mountain.
Look out for a presentation and activity on ClassDojo.

At the beginning of Chapter Eight of ‘The Hodgeheg’, Max waits patiently for a small human to walk by. Eventually, he sees many small humans! One small human is a child, but what are many called? Correct: they’re called, ‘children’.
This gave me an idea! Today, we’re going to explore singular and plural nouns! What are they? Singular nouns are used to label one thing, whereas plural nouns are used to label groups of things.
To begin with, I would like you to complete the lesson on this webpage:

Next Wednesday is Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent.
What is Ash Wednesday? Why is Lent such an important season? How can we prepare fully for the celebration of Easter?
Please click on the following link for a video to support this lesson:
Lent isn’t simply about giving something up. It’s a great idea to give something up, if it is keeping you from spending time with Jesus, i.e. I should probably watch less T.V. and spend more time in prayer. However, Lent is also about making promises. Today, I would like you to think of and make your own Lenten promises: what will you do between now and Easter to grow closer to Christ?
Look out for templates to complete on ClassDojo.
