Remote Learning Activities

Week Commencing 1st March

If you have any questions about your child’s remote learning please contact

Mrs Foxall on ClassDojo using the messaging tool.

Monday

Monday - On Monday Mrs Elliott will be leading the online learning on class dojo. She will be trying out tea and coffee with the children. Why don't you try some tea and coffee at home with your family? Do you like it? Let us know if you like it or not!

Wednesday get baking!

Have a go at baking some cakes or biscuits. This is a great opportunity to weigh and measure with your child and for a real purpose! Look at the numbers on the scales swith your child. See if they can say stop when you get to the number or when the arrow points to the right number. Ask questions like… do we need a bit more? Shall we take a bit out? Have fun baking!

World Book Day!

On Thursday and Friday we will be celebrating world book day. It would be great if your child could still dress up as their favourite book character at home and please send us a photograph on class dojo! We will be learning about Julia Donaldson’s “The Gruffalo” and “The Gruffalo’s Child” so I have made 2 “pick and choose” boards for the last two days of home learning fun before we welcome you back next week!

Tuesday - Maths

This morning we are going learning about weight.  We will focus on using the words heavy and light.

Find some different objects around your home. Are they heavy or light?

You can make your own balance scales to compare the weight of these objects out of a clothes hanger. Have a look at this picture...

Science/ UW - Making Jelly

In nursery Miss Hodgkins will be making Jelly with the children. Why don't you have a go at making jelly at home. What happens to the jelly in the warm water? What happens when you put it in the fridge? What does it taste like?
